About The Author
Anna Talyn is an author, songwriter, and creator of connected story worlds where novels and music are written side by side.Her debut body of work is the Volume Rising universe, a double trilogy of novels and albums following a fictional band through voice, survival, found family, creative friction, and the messy work of becoming real. The books and songs share a cast, world, and emotional arc, but each medium is allowed to stand on its own.Originally from Minnesota and now living in the South, Anna writes character-driven stories about people navigating uncertainty without neat answers. Her work often lives in the space between collapse and recovery, where change is imperfect, identity is complicated, and the next honest inch still matters.Songwriting became part of her fiction through Exit, the central voice of Volume Rising. What began as a character’s music grew into more than fifty original tracks across indie rock, pop rock, punk, grunge, and stripped piano-led work.Anna’s creative work is rooted in motion, authenticity, and the belief that voice is not something you find once.
